Praetorian Guards

The guild is buying ALL CATACLYSM HERBS from guild members, or other sound resources.  Our goal is to maximize our Flask making to be able to unlock the Battle Cauldrons for raids.  Avoid the long lines and absurd prices of the Auction House for your flasks by supporting your guild alchemists today!  More bang for the buck means less money out of your pocket!

We hope everyone's holidays are going well... haha, yeah right! While I lose material to post up in the News Section, I wanted to reiterate what you'll be needing when we start 25man Raids next week on January 4th at 8:30pm PST:

• Average Item Level of 340 (Bare Minimum): Heroic Gear has an Item Level of 346, as do items from Justice Points, and Revered Reputation with Cataclysm factions. This will help your effectiveness in the raid, duh!
• Exalted with Therazane: the optimal Shoulder Enchants from the Quartermaster come from obtaining said reputation level, so don't gimp yourself!
• Exalted with Appropriate Faction for Main Stat: Strength (Dragonmaw Clan), Intellect (Guardians of Hyjal), Agility (Ramkahen), or Stamina (Earthen Ring).

For the dedicated few, you can also explore reputation gains with Hellscream's Reach for Epic starting trinkets, gear and nifty other things.  Since you've been reading all of this, don't slack off or the numbers on Recount/Skada will work against you!

Every expansion, we count our gains and our losses.  We will be missing some of our most veteran players, good and bad, and will most likely be looking to find players who can attempt to fill their voids.  However, since all the raid content is at Level 85, we will casually consider all applications submitted from here on.  If you are looking for a guild to level with or find some sort of "friendly" environment to immerse yourself, then feel free to throw an app for Friends & Family.

Unless you're application (or reputation) stands out from pre-Cataclysm, we won't fully consider your application until end game.  You'll also have a better idea of which spots will be open in our 10/25 man raids.  Cheers!

Greetings, Fellow P Guards! The launch for Cataclysm is fast approaching, and some of you may be stuck in line prior to midnight at your local video game retail store and others waiting impatiently at your computer for the clock to strike 12:01am... I just wanted to make a friendly reminder of a few things:

• Authenticators:  You will be required to have a Warcraft Authenticator to be able to raid with us.  Guild Bank security has been compromised in the past and we would like to make sure this doesn't happen again.  Besides, you'll be able to gain access to special bank tabs depending on your rank.
• 25man Raiding:  We will definitely continue as a 25man Raiding guild. Despite our losses of fellow guild members, we will probably be needing to fill our ranks during the next month.  This will also include adjusting our raiding roster with Tanks and Healers.
• The Early Birds:  You will probably figure out by now that the faster you level after the release, the chances of getting into the first 10man guild runs will be greater.  Please be wary of your health and try not to kill yourself on 5hour energy drinks for a 3-day leveling blitz.
• Clean Slate:  EPGP Points will be wiped clean for the next expansion.  However, you will still need to earn your raiding spot by proving your skill level and performance as well as attendance.
• Class/Role Changes:  EIther myself or one of the Officers will compile a list of raiders and their class and role changes.  This will allow a better glimpse of what to expect for raid composition and knowing what positions need to be filled.
• Raid Lock-Outs:  Blizzard has decided to make raiding more casual by restricting raid instance lock-outs per 'toon regardless of difficulty.  That being said, all you crazy mofos will probably need to level an alt should you want to raid a 10man or 25man on another night.
• Forum Fixing:  I will be considering a forum clean-up and possibly archiving old posts so we keep what is relevant to the current expansion on top.  If there is a category/forum you would like to add or remove, please let me know as well.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I first saw it, but I think I've stumbled upon one out of the many games that probably could be the Praetorian Guards' theme game!  There will probably be a forum where you can post your high scores... and who knows, maybe it'll be required to remain in the guild or validate your application.
